On October 21, 2023, Rathinam College of Arts and Science hosted the 4th State Level Sports Meet for faculty members from various domains such as Arts and Science, Engineering, Polytechnic, and medical colleges. A total of 317 participants from 42 educational institutions in Tamil Nadu participated in sports like Carom, Chess, Badminton, Volleyball, Cricket, Basketball, and Throwball. Sri Krishna Arts and Science College secured the overall championship.
The event, led by Sathishanandan, Head of the Department of Visual Communication, Ramesh, Physical Director, and Dhanush, Assistant Professor of Chemistry. The tournament received support from sponsors like the Rotary Club (South), Cosmopolitan Club of Coimbatore, Sridevi Silks, Decathlon Coimbatore, and The Precision Scientific Company.
Participating colleges included Ayyanadar Janaki Ammal College, Nirmala College for Women, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Government Colleges from Ooty, Mettupalayam, and Valparai, Kongu Arts and Science, Navarasam College, and VET College from Erode. They expressed interest in organizing similar events annually with expanded sports and cultural competitions.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony featured dignitaries like CEO and Secretary Manickam, Principal Balasubramanian, and Rotary Club of Coimbatore Cosmopolitan representatives Rtn. Nethaji, Rtn. Krishnan, and Rtn. Kargil Karthi presenting awards to the winners.
