As the part of Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Programme, Vagarayampalayam Primary Health Center Organzied the Health Mela on Saturday 23rd September, 2023. The IInd Year B. Sc Nursing Students participated in the Health Mela.
The Dr.Sweety Gisela Merline, Medical Officer inaugurated the Health Mela and addressed the gathering. She explained the Key Features of the programme and advised the public to spread the awareness about the scheme. The key services that will be provided in the Health Mela included, reproductive and child health, maternal and child health, family welfare, Lifestyle Behaviour modification (exercise, yoga & mediation), tobacco and alcohol cessation, cancer prevention awareness, personal and environmental hygiene, TB control and mosquito control measures
Overall 143 general public beneficiaries underwent check-ups and treatment during the programme.
