KVIM enhancing the pedagogy skills

KV Institute of Management and Information Studies (KVIM) organized a “Capacity Building Programme on Infusion of a Transformative Pedagogy in Management Education” on Saturday (27.04.2024).

Dr. M. Vidhya, Principal, KVIM, Welcomed the participants. Dr. C. Kumar, Managing Director, KVIM presided over the programme with the presidential Address. The event featured prominent speakers from various academic and professional backgrounds who discussed topics pertinent to the evolving landscape of management education.

Dr. Shakila Shamsu, Advisor Education Policies, Secretary NEP, Kochi, spoke about “How NEP Perceives Management Education.” She emphasized the importance of holistic and multidisciplinary learning for millennial and Generation Z students, aiming to develop “T- Shaped” graduates equipped with core and diverse skill sets.

Dr. Manjari Anandhan, Founder & CCO of Zhagaram Consulting Insights Pvt. Ltd, Coimbatore, presented on “Technological Integration as an Alternative Pedagogy in Management Education.” She discussed the role of digital pedagogy and various learning tools to enhance personalized education.

Dr. V.G. Sridharan, Chair Professor, Finance, Accounting & Control, Indian Institute of Management – Kozhikode, addressed on “Redefining Pedagogy in Management Education for NextGen Learners.” He explored innovative teaching methods and the ethical responsibilities of faculty in creating engaging learning experiences.

Dr. Naachimuthu K.P, Assistant Professor, PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, spoke on “Emotional and Psychological Wellness to Administer a Transformative Management Pedagogy.” He highlighted the importance of faculty empathy and ethical conduct in fostering emotional well-being among students.

The event concluded with a Valedictory Address by the special invitee Dr. S.R. Madhan Shankar, followed by a Vote of Thanks by Dr. K. Iyyappan, Coordinator-IQAC at KVIM.
