‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ventures 3 crore flag production

With the 75th independence of India ahead, as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign of the Amrit Mahotsav, Uttar Pradesh is set to drape 4.26 crore houses, 50 lakh government and non-government offices in Tricolor.

According to the official report, the government has produced about 3.86 crore tricolours out of the 4.76 crore target.

The official release stated that of the total, the MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) sector of the state has produced 2 crore flags through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). Eventually, round-the-clock production was carried out by more than 20,000 NGOs and private sewing machines.

Commenting on the campaign Amit Shah took to Twitter stating “The Tiranga has always been a great source of inspiration for us. It is our pride and a symbolic way of placing national interest ahead of everything.”
