On the occasion of World Occupational Therapy Day, KMCH College of Occupational Therapy celebrated “World OT Day-OT Fest 2023.” Dr. Shashidhar Rao, the Principal, and Prof. Sujata Missal, the Director of KMCH OT College, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, the Managing Trustee of Dr. NGPR & ET, and Dr. Srinivasan, a Consultant Psychiatrist at KMCH.
The event featured three scientific sessions for OT students. Manivannan from Leprosy Mission Trust India discussed the role of Occupational Therapy in community-based interactions, Earnest from Christian Medical College, Vellore, addressed psychosocial rehabilitation at the community level, and Manju Parkavi, an OT from the UK, shared insights about pediatric Occupational Therapy practice in the NHS-United Kingdom.
The event encompassed poster presentations, innovative technology displays, and cultural and sports competitions. Prof. Praveen, Vice Principal of the college expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks.
