Union Minister Kishan Reddy Urges Youth to Serve the Nation at PSG Institute of Management Event

In a session titled “India’s Cultural Diversity and Heritage – Role of Next Gen” hosted by PSG Institute of Management in Coimbatore, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Development of North Eastern Region of India, Kishan Reddy, emphasized the importance of youth in serving the society and country. The event was presided over by Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG & Sons’ Charities, and witnessed the presence of prominent guests including Namassivayam, Deputy Chief Minister of Pondicherry, Vanathi Srinivasan, Member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, and Kanagasabapathi, BJP State Vice President.

SriVidhya, Director-in-charge at PSG Institute of Management delivered the welcome address.

During his speech, Minister Kishan Reddy highlighted the significance of accountability in a democracy and stressed the responsibility of holding leaders accountable. He emphasized that voting for leaders is crucial to ensure accountability and pave the way for a strong and stable government, which ultimately leads to a stronger India. The Minister also acknowledged the challenges faced by rural communities even after 75 years of Independence, emphasizing the need for inclusive development.

Furthermore, Minister Kishan Reddy spoke about the country’s reliance on imports post-Independence and stressed the importance of encouraging startups and indigenous industries to promote self-reliance. He lauded India’s leadership role in the G20 and urged every citizen to prioritize the nation’s interests. The Minister passionately appealed to the youth, urging them to foster a sense of national unity and contribute to the progress of the country.

Brinda, Principal of PSG College of Arts and Science, expressed gratitude and proposed a vote of thanks at the conclusion of the event.
