‘PSGiTECH facilitated my journey to Japan for Internship’

-Muneeshwaran Karthikeyan, Civil Engineering student, PSGiTECH

Muneeshwaran Karthikeyan, a fourth-year Civil Engineering student at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research [PSG iTech], excelled in a two-month internship at Hiyoshi Corporation, Japan. He was among two students chosen from India for the environmental technical training program. From May 22 to July 14, 2023, he received comprehensive training in water purification, wastewater treatment, and environmental analysis. The opportunity enriched his understanding of environmental practices and exposed him to the Japanese working environment.

When asked about his achievement, Muneeshwaran said, “Our College shared the link of the company that hires interns, and I applied through that platform. After clearing three rounds, I had an interview and was selected for the internship. I received a stipend of 80,000 yen per month and completed a rewarding two-month internship in Japan. The experience provided me with tremendous exposure, numerous opportunities, and a broader scope for learning. PSG College supported me by allowing me to withdraw from the semester that coincided with the internship period and facilitated my journey to Japan. I am grateful to Prof. Devasena from our Department for guiding me throughout the entire process of the internship.”

PSG Institute of Technology congratulates Muneeshwaran for his outstanding achievements.
