A private company employee committed suicide in a hotel room near Ram Nagar, Coimbatore on Tuesday.
Dharani (age 43), a private company employee, hailing from Kosavanpalayam, Thiruvallur district, is reported to have come to Coimbatore for personal reasons on the 30th of December and stayed in a hotel room in Kattoor, Ram Nagar.
Meanwhile, when one of the hotel employees knocked on the door for a long time, he did not seem to have opened creating suspicion.
The hotel employee reported the incident to the hotel manager. They broke the door and found Dharani hung up, committing suicide.
Immediately, the hotel management informed the Kattoor police. Police obtained Dharani’s body and sent it to Coimbatore Government Hospital for an autopsy.
The Kattoor police have filed a case regarding the incident. An investigation is underway regarding the motive or the reason for the suicide. Reportedly, in the recent past, a lot of suicide cases are reported in hotel rooms.
