Sardar’ians will be the textile sector leaders -Alli Rani, Director, SVPISTM

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles & Management Celebrated National Unity Day on 31.10.2023. Prof. Krishnan, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur was present as the Chief Guest.

Alli Rani, Director, of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management also graced the occasion with her presence. The oath-taking ceremony on behalf of National Unity Day was also held.

Director Alli Rani expressed, “This day symbolizes the celebration of unity. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel earned the title ‘Iron Man’ because iron is considered one of the strongest metals. Strong individuals stay united. At the time of India’s independence, numerous kingdoms, both ancient and new, posed a challenge to unite under a single country and governance. Patel, without resorting to force, took the initiative through negotiations and convincing kings/emperors to unite under the singular governance of India. This stands as Patel’s greatest service to India.”

“Sardar’ians will emerge as leaders in the textile sector, propelling India to global leadership,” she motivated the students.

Prof. Krishnan urged students to step beyond the confines of the curriculum and contribute to society. He underscored the value of teamwork, citing our collective efforts in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic through hard work and unity. Expressing concern, he highlighted that only 20% of Tamil Nadu students, out of 2400, enroll in the Central University of Tamil Nadu. He also drew attention to the challenge of achieving global rankings, considering India’s vast educational landscape of 1000 universities, 45000 colleges, and 1000 research institutions, with few attaining global recognition. Prof. Krishnan further emphasized sustainability, exemplifying the initial ₹800 cost of the Covid-19 vaccine, which later became available for free.
