On October 7th, as part of their Combat Diabetes initiative, the Rotary E Club of Metro Dynamix launched Project Abhaya and ChillFix for Idhayangal Charitable Trust, contributing a total of 7.91 Lakhs. The event featured esteemed guests including Chief Guest Rtn. Vittel, Club President and Project Chairperson Rtn. Reshma, Club Secretary Rtn. Mahesh, and Rtn. Dr. Krishnan Swaminathan, Founder & Managing Trustee of Idhayangal Charitable Trust.
Project Abhaya, valued at Rs. 5 Lakhs, donated by Sundararajan, MD of SP Apparels, Tiruppur, involves a CSR initiative providing 42,000 painless needles to 100 children undergoing treatment for Juvenile Type 1 diabetes. Meanwhile, Project ChillFix, valued at Rs. 2.91 Lakhs, focuses on donating mini refrigerators to underprivileged families treating children with Juvenile Diabetes, ensuring the safe storage of insulin.
Over the past 1.5 years, Metro Dynamix has committed Rs. 62 Lakhs to support children with Juvenile Diabetes through Idhayangal Charitable Trust. This recent contribution brings the total amount dedicated to Combat Diabetes to an impressive Rs. 70 Lakhs, underscoring their unwavering commitment to the cause.
