The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Machenn Innovations Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, on September 8, 2023. The signing ceremony was attended by Secretary Dr Thavamani D Palaniswami, Niveditha, CTO & Co-Founder, Machenn Innovations Pvt. Ltd., Principal Prabha, Vijayakumar, Head of the Biomedical Engineering department, and faculty members.
During the ceremony, the Principal discussed the details of the MoU, emphasizing the common objectives of both organizations in the field of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) technologies for the healthcare sector. They expressed their commitment to enhancing the skills of students and faculty members through research collaborations.
The MoU formalizes the terms and understanding between the college and Machenn Innovations Pvt. Ltd., with the aim of facilitating mutually beneficial collaborative activities. Niveditha highlighted the current advancements in VR, AR, and MR, as well as Medical device design, R&D production, and Techno-commercial roles.
