IIID aware society with wall paintings

Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) is the apex professional body for Designers, Architects, related Trade/Corporates, Institutions, and students in India. It is Golden Jubilee of IIID and to mark this occasion the Institute is publishing a quarterly series of 7 folios on topics which are of great importance to Design, called the IIID Inscape Golden Jubilee Series which is powered by Nippon Paint India.

The first Folio titled ‘ The Spaces We Shape,’ was recently launched at Chennai by India”s most Renowned Art Director, Padmashri Thotatharani.

Folio 2 of IIID Inscape on ‘The Yards We Scale’ launched on 26th April. It has outstanding contributions from some of the most brilliant Designers and Architects from India and abroad like Raj Rewal (Delhi), Sanjay Mohe (Bangalore), Lilia de Jesus (Philippines) Dinesh Suthar (Surat) etc. with the cover sketch by Padmashri Thota Tharani.

The Launch was presided over by Sarosh Wadia, President of IIID. Jabeen L Zacharias, Editor of Inscape, introduced the Folio and its Content. Thereafter the Folio was officially launched by Chief Guest V. Balakrishnan, IPS, Coimbatore City Police Commissioner.

Ar Kshrinee Aashish Raichuraa delivered the Welcome address.

Rajashekar, Managing Director, Tex Valley was the Guest of Honor. S M.  Balaji, Senior Director of Nippon Paint, addressed the gathering as an Inscape Partner. The function was attended by the National Executive Members of IIID from all over India. Jignesh Modi President-Elect, IIID, Shamini Shanker Hon Secretary. IIID, Nitu Parasher, President of Bharati Park Ladies Association and other dignitaries participated in the event.

The publication elaborates on the different roles of ‘Yard’. Courtyards have been part of every culture and civilization across man’s history and still hold many solutions which can bring beauty and happiness to our lives. To inspire people with this message IIID has done remarkable wall art on the sides of the street led by its members of Coimbatore, the Nippon Team, Design students and artists with the support of the Bharathi Park Lasies Association. Set against this remarkable backdrop, the launch will be a pivotal moment in IIID’s history of fostering design excellence and impacting the world.
