SNMV Hosts National Level Seminar

SNMV College of Arts and Science, School of Commerce, in collaboration with the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai, jointly organized a one-day National Level Seminar on the theme “The Future Of Insurance in India: Faster & Easier.” The primary objective of this event was to raise awareness about the insurance industry among students and faculty members.

The program was organized by Padmanabhan, Dean of Commerce, and was graced by Subramani, Principal of SNMV CAS, who presided over the gathering. Muthukumar, Director of SNMV Institute of Management, felicitated the program.

The seminar featured distinguished resource persons, including Licy, Head of PG Commerce & Management at De Paul Degree College; Siddiq, Dean of the School of Commerce at STC College, Pollachi; and Hemalatha, Dean of the School of Commerce at Rathinam College, Eachanari. Prasad, CII Co-Coordinator and Secretary of the Coimbatore Insurance Institute, also felicitated and coordinated the program.

During the valedictory session, certificates were distributed to participants by the dignitaries. The seminar attracted approximately 350 students from 25 different colleges, and a total of 106 papers were presented by participants in two separate venues. Roughly 250 students from SNMV institution attended the program, benefiting from the knowledge shared during the event.

The selected 106 papers have been published in an edited volume with an ISBN, and this book was officially released by a guest during the inaugural session.

The coordination of the program was overseen by John Manoharan, Head of the Department of B.Com E-Commerce; Devika, Head of the Department of B.Com Computer Science; Deepa, Head of the Department of B.Com Finance; and Gabrial Prabhu, Head of the Department of B.Com Banking and Insurance.
