Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam, the literary wing of the Shriram group, is organizing the annual Thirukkural Elocution, Drawing & Essay Contests 2023 for school and college students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The competition will take place from October 7th to November 19th, 2023, at 12 different centers, including Coimbatore.
The Coimbatore zone competition will be held at Suburban Higher Secondary School, Ram Nagar, on November 18th, 2023. Other cities’ contest dates are as follows: Chennai on October 7th, Vellore on October 8th, Tambaram on October 14th, Puducherry on October 15th, Tanjore on October 21st, Thiruvarur on October 22nd, Salem on October 28th, Trichy on October 29th, Nellai on November 4th, Madurai on November 5th, and Erode on November 19th, 2023.
Application forms can be obtained from the nearest Shriram Chits branches or downloaded from www.shriramchits.com. The deadline for submitting filled-in application forms is October 14th, 2023.
The competition will have three groups: Juniors (Classes: 6-8), Seniors (Classes: 9-12), and College (UG, PG, Engineering, Medical, and Polytechnic students).
Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam has been organizing this competition annually since 1988 to promote awareness of the teachings of Thirukkural among the student community in the state.
