Inauguration of ‘Experimenta’ Science Centre by GD Naidu Charities

GD Naidu Charities Coimbatore, On behalf of National Science Day, inaugurated an Interactive Science Centre named ‘Experimenta’ on Tuesday at G D Museum, Coimbatore. This Experimenta Science Centre matches International standards in providing an exploratory experience to children on science.

This was inaugurated by Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for Finance and Human Resources Management, Government of Tamil Nadu. Kranthi Kumar Pati (IAS), District Collector, Coimbatore and Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore offered felicitations. Michaela Kuchler, Consul General, German Consulate General, Chennai was the Guest of Honour. G D Gopal, Managing Trustee, and Chairman, G D Naidu Charities presided over the function. And Palanivel Thiaga Rajan presented Awards to the winners of the National Science Day competitions previously held in various schools.

The Science Centre has more than 120 engaging interactive exhibits wherein visitors can experience basic concepts of science. The centre has a team of Science Communicators who explain in detail about each exhibit. The main objective of the Science Centre is to stimulate curiosity, develop an inquiring mind and enable children and adults to learn science in a very informal and fun-filled manner.
