The Research Centre for Waste Valorization of the Civil Engineering Department of PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore, funded by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India was inaugurated by Padma Shri. Prof.G.D. Yadav, Emeritus Professor of Eminence, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and Chairman for DST’s National level expert committee constituted for Swaccha Bharath aligned Technology Development Program by Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, amidst the experts Dr. Krishna Kanth Pulicherla, Dr. Kurian Joseph, Prof. Akhilendra Bhushan Gupta, Dr. Chandra Shekar Sharma, Dr. Suneel Pandey, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Shri Munduru Veera Chary, and Dr. Anita Agarwal on 09.02.2023.
Principal Dr. G. Chandramohan welcomed the guests. The Head of the Civil Engineering Department Dr. M. I. Abdul Aleem who is also the Principal Investigator for two DST-WMT projects explained the facilities created for the projects on Waste Valorization. Dr. M. Alagar, Visiting Research Consultant for many projects at PSGiTech has explained the waste-to-wealth concept adopted in this research center.
