KV Institute of Management and Information Studies, located in Kurumbapalayam, Coimbatore, recently hosted an anti-drug oath-taking event. This event aims to promote awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to engage both 1st and 2nd year MBA students in anti-drug activities. The college has formed an anti-drug committee to enforce a complete prohibition on the possession, consumption, or use of drugs and alcohol by students, both on and off the campus. The committee’s primary objective is to create a drug-free environment, educating students about the negative consequences of substance abuse. The committee will organize various awareness programs to enlighten students about the risks associated with drug usage and the legal penalties for violations. Additionally, the college plans to establish an Anti-Drug Squad comprising student volunteers from the hostels and the campus to further promote a safe and healthy environment.
