HiCET receives ‘Academic Excellence’ award

Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HiCET) was awarded the ‘Academic Excellence In Engineering Institutions’ at the Times Business Awards in recognition of its preeminence pedagogy. R.Sakkarapani, Minister of Food and Civil Supplies of Tamil Nadu and Actor Parthiban presented the award to Sarasuwathi Khannaiyann, Managing Trustee, Hindusthan Educational Institutions.

Institutional Recognitions

Established in 2000, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HiCET) has created phenomenal growth for two decades. Carrying ‘A’ Grade NAAC accreditation, all its programs are NBA accredited which is inclusive of 15 UG programs, 7 PG programs and 4 Doctoral programs.

In a short span, the institution was presented with the Best Institution in Tamil Nadu award by the HR Club for Centre of Excellence India. Later it secured the 25th rank in the Top 100 Private Engineering Colleges in India for the Academic year 2014 – 2015.

One of its remarkable recognitions includes the award presented at the World Educational Summit for Industry-Academic Interface. In this regard, the institution has signed numerous MoUs with the top 18 industrial domains to craft the students industry ready.

Extending further, the institution has collaborative programs with foreign institutions namely Sunway University, Illinois Institute of Technology and Asia Pacific University, Malaysia.

Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) has recognized HiCET as the IPR nodal centre. In addition, the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), GoI, acclaimed HiCET for the Scientific & Industrial Research Organizations (SIROs). GoI-approved Incubation Centre worth Rs. 30 lakhs has been instituted. An AICTE Internship Portal facilitates the students to avail internship opportunities in prominent projects that include the Coimbatore Smart City Project, National Highways Authorities of India and many more.
