Coimbatore, known for its scenic lakes and mesmerising sunsets is ready to witness one of a kind event, the “Lantern Festival” at Valankulam Lake, Ukkadum.
As a part of an initiative to preserve natural assets, the lakes of Coimbatore have been restored to house migrating birds and engage people in the city.
Phase 4, a group of young and vibrant architects based in Coimbatore have initiated the idea of celebrating nature. A series of events have been curated, that improve human interaction with nature. Lunar grammam, a one-of-a-kind event was designed to celebrate the moon. This festive season, Phase 4 alongside Coimbatore Smartcity Limited is organising this extravaganza, the lantern festival.
