KG College organized Iranian Film Festival

Recently, the Department of visual communication of KG College of Arts and Science organised an Iranian film festival in association with the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation Chennai and the Culture House of Islamic Republic of Iran Mumbai.

Dr.A.Charles, Director- School of Design KGISL education institution, Professor and head of Visual communication department, KG College of Arts and Science welcomed the gathering followed by the inaugural address by E.Thangaraj, General Secretary, ICAF Chennai.

Later, Dr B  Vanitha, secretary, KGCAS addressed the economic impact of cinema in on the country’s growth. Followed by Dr J Rathinamala, Principal KGCAS who encouraged students to contribute and participate in such film festivals.

More than 500 students participated from various colleges participated in the film festival. Six Iranian films were screened during the event, wherein the inaugural movie was songs of sparrow lined up with The painting pool, born in 1987, Hush! the girls don’t scream, Track 143 and M for mother.

Meanwhile, Maniraj, Art director, Prabhakaran, Art director and Viji Paul illustrator briefed on cartoons and the technical qualities of Iranian movies.
