Coimbatore Industrialist interacted with Minister PTR

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a special interactive session with Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for Information Technology & Digital Services, Government of Tamilnadu at Codissia on Monday.

In the interaction session, Thirugnanam – President, Codissia; Radhakrishnan – Chairman, CII Coimbatore Zone; Vignesh – President, SIEMA; Hari Viswanathan – Honorary Secretary, IIF, Coimbatore Chapter, and Vishnu Prabhakar – Chair, Yi, Coimbatore Chapter and other industrialists from Coimbatore were present.

The heads of the association asked for various needs from education, infrastructure, GST reduction, expansion of the airport for cargo shipping, also requested for more cyber-security centre, need separate buffer zone for metal casting which cannot be kept in the residential and busy areas, reuse of metal sand, and need for centre of excellence to pull the talented students into the Coimbatore.

The Minister said, 90% of things you people asked are doable in the next 2 years” but in some places, there is central government influence, and that is a place where we could not complete the needs you ask, like in GST reduction, where GST itself need a basic reform.

The Minister said, “Government will try our best for the development of Coimbatore.”
