Dr.N.G.P. Arts and Science College, Center for Women Development celebrated International Women’s Day on Friday.
Prof. Dr. Ramamurthi, the Principal welcomed the gathering. Dr.Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, presided over the function. Dr.Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary felicitated the gathering.
Dr.Santhi Duraisamy, Director, Sakthi Masala Group was the invited chief guest. The guest emphasized the theme of the year, “Breaking the Bias,” which calls for challenging stereotypes, eliminating discrimination, and creating a more inclusive society for all, Also encouraged to join hands to create a world where every woman and girl can live with dignity, equality, and freedom.
The chief guest distributed the awards for the Best Social Worker, Best Nursing, and Best Housekeeping. Also distributed the prizes to the winners of the various competitions conducted for the female students.
