Vidyasagar College of Arts and Science, the Women Empowerment Cell, and Rotary Udumalpet jointly organized the International Women’s Day Celebration on Friday, at the college campus.
The celebration began in the August presence of the Honorable Secretary Padmavati Sathyanathan. Suleke Parveen 1st year student welcomed the gathering, Principal Dr. Jayakumar presided over the function, and the Chief Guests for the function were Dr. Nivetha, Naturopathy Sectional Committee member (AYUSH), Sathyavani, Advocate, Udumalpet and Shanmugapriya, Anupam Soorya Charitable Trust, Udumalpet.
The chief guests spoke about the importance of celebrating Women’s Day and how can women make themselves empowered by living a healthy lifestyle, Socially, Physically, and Psychologically, they also added that women have a lot of opportunities that they should use wisely. After which, awards were given to the best-contributed women to the development of society. Baranipriya 1st year students gave a vote of thanks.
