Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Texcity’s Flagship project named ‘MAYA’ took place at a slum area near Anna Nagar, Sowripalayam, Coimbatore on 30th of October, 2023. The underdeveloped slum in which people suffer from a lot of health and financial issues.
As an initiative to lessen their burdens, the club conducted Health beneficiary programmes like Eye Checkup Camp, Live Eye Safety Awareness Sessions for elders and children and Entertainment programmes like VR show, Traditional Games, Mystery Box, and Mr & Miss Maya for the children which were so effective.
Through such eye camps, elders had the opportunity to complete eye checkups and move for further treatment. Also, the children enthusiastically participated in the games. This successful project was done with the support of the PACE Foundation and Rotaract Club of IIVM.
