“The NGP School’s Annual Sports Meet – Vigour ‘23” proved to be yet another spectacular event recently organized by the NGPians. The esteemed gathering included Chief Guest Mohamed Nizammuddin, a former Asian medalist and National Athletic Coach at Indian Railways. The event was graced by the institution’s Chairman, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Correspondent of the NGP School, Dr. Thavamani D Palaniswami, Director of Dr. NGP Educational Institutions, P R Muthuswamy, Academic Director, Mathura V Palaniswami, and the school’s Principal, Preetha A Prakash.
Chief Guest delivered an inspiring speech, urging students to cultivate healthy dietary habits and engage in regular evening play, emphasizing its positive impact on academic excellence. He encouraged aspiring sports enthusiasts to consider pursuing sports as a career, citing P V Sindhu’s journey as a shining example.
The students showcased their remarkable talents through various performances, including Aerobics, Army Parade March Past, colorful Mass Drill, and Track events. These activities seamlessly aligned with the theme of Vigour 2023, which focused on “Sports for a Colorful Living & Healthy Life”. The synchronized Army Parade March Past was particularly mesmerizing and garnered praise from all quarters.
