With the deepening hazy weather across Delhi and a few other states in India, several domestic flights queued for departure were reportedly delayed.
As many as 40 flights departing from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were delayed due to dense fog and 18 flights scheduled to touch down were also delayed. According to sources, no flight diversions were reported as of Tuesday morning.
According to the meteorological reports, a minimum of 6.4°C and 7.5°C were recorded in Safdarjung and Palam, at a visibility distance of 200 meters and 50 meters respectively.
Accordingly, dense to very dense fog recordings were observed in the parts of Panjab, Haryana, Chandighar, Delhi, Jammu division, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Tripura.
