SNMVCAS hosted a National Level Workshop on Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Shri Nehru Maha Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science (SNMV CAS) hosted a National Level Workshop on Entrepreneurship and Innovation on Wednesday, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) and organized by the School of Commerce.

The event was a testament to the institution’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit and embracing the Startup India Initiative. The workshop featured prominent industry figures as resource persons, with Maharaj from StartupTN, Chennai, and Rajsekar Sivasamy, Project Associates at StartupTN, Chennai, leading the sessions.

The day was divided into two technical sessions, each conducted by experienced resource persons, catering to a diverse audience comprising approximately 120 students and 20 faculty members. Maharaj, with his extensive knowledge of the startup ecosystem, shared valuable insights into the practical aspects of entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile, Rajsekar Sivasamy delved into project management and its crucial role in the success of startup ventures. The interactive sessions provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the entrepreneurial landscape.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr.  Subramani, Principal of SNMC CAS, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of such workshops in shaping the future of students. Dr. Muthu Kumar, Director of SNMVIM, shared his valuable insights, highlighting the role of innovation in driving economic growth and societal development.

Dr.  Padmanabhan, Dean of Commerce at SNMV CAS, expressed his thoughts on the program, stressing the significance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among students.
