Scoot, the budget carrier under Singapore Airlines, is set to introduce daily flights between Chennai and Singapore starting November 5, 2023. This move reaffirms Scoot’s commitment to providing affordable and seamless travel experiences while ensuring convenient access to major cities via Singapore. The direct flights, operated on Airbus A320 aircraft, will enhance Chennai’s international connectivity and link domestic travellers to Scoot’s extensive network across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.
The announcement was made by Scoot’s General Manager for India and West Asia, Brian Torrey, at a media event in Chennai. Scoot now serves six destinations in India, including Amritsar, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, and Visakhapatnam. Torrey expressed Scoot’s enthusiasm for the Indian market and its dedication to catering to the diverse travel needs of Indian passengers, both business and leisure travellers alike.
