Actress Radhika Sarathkumar inaugurated Coimbatore’s Trinity Super Specialty Eye Hospital on October 1, 2023. Located in RS Puram, the hospital vows to offer world-class eye care, with a focus on expertise, experienced staff, love, compassion, and commitment. Dr. Sunil Sreedhar, Managing Director highlighted the hospital’s mission and initiatives, including addressing eye issues caused by screen use, free glasses for school children, and diabetic eye care.
Dr. Sunil Sreedharan emphasized the increasing prevalence of eye problems due to factors like excessive smartphone computer screen use, even among young children. The hospital aims to address these issues through home visits, eye treatments for the elderly within a 25-kilometer radius of Coimbatore, and free glasses for school children under 14. They also plan to organize frequent eye check-up camps in rural areas and open an eye bank in Coimbatore.
Radhika Sarathkumar commended the hospital’s initiatives during the inauguration, advocating for noble causes like eye donation and organ donation through the internet. She also emphasized the cinema industry’s need for infrastructural facilities and technological advancements in Coimbatore, highlighting the importance of women’s roles.
The event was presided over by Dr. Sreedharan, Chairman of Trinity Super Specialty Eye Hospital, and attended by other dignitaries, including Dr. Sunil Sreedharan, Managing Director, Dr Mridula Sunil, Chief Medical Director, Jasmine, Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Mohammad Sabaj, Medical Director, Johnson Vijai Mathew, Vice President (Operations) and Marketing, and Gunaseelan Pillai, Chief Operating Officer.
