FLO’s Plogging initiative at Codissia

The Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s women’s wing, FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), in collaboration with RAAC held a Plogging event coinciding with Environmental Health Day on September 26th. The event featured environmentalist and social activist Sri Ripu Daman Bevli, known as the ‘Plogman of India,’ who champions the concept of ‘plogging’—a fusion of jogging and litter collection. Plogging promotes both personal health and environmental responsibility, with participants pledging to maintain litter-free surroundings.

At 7:00 AM, the run at Codissia Entrance was flagged off by Chief Guest Ripu. Over 170 students from GRD School enthusiastically participated and collected several bags of pet bottles. Also, the students held placards with various awareness quotes regarding the Go Green initiative.

Embracing the G20 summit’s theme, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The World Is One Family), FLO underscores the importance of collective well-being and responsible stewardship of the planet through sustainable practices. This initiative calls for a united commitment to a greener, cleaner, and healthier world.
