KMCH Nursing College’s Protocol and Standards Workshop

KMCH College of Nursing recently organized a Continuing Nursing Education event on Nursing Practice Standards and infection control protocols for B.Sc (N) final year, P.B.BSc (N) II year, and M.Sc (N) II Year students. The course aimed to bolster nursing practice standards and infection control protocols. In the inaugural address, Prof. Madhavi stressed the importance of Nursing Practice Standards. Muthusami, Head Quality Initiatives & Chief Biochemist shared insights into NABH, while Jayalakshmi heightened knowledge on infection control protocols. Mohanambal, Nursing Director delved into Nursing Practice Standards, and Arunadevi, Nurse Educator, explained Nursing Audit. Prof. Malarvizhi, Vice-Principal discussed about Patient Safety, and Prof. Renuka addressed Legal & Ethical issues in Nursing Practice. The event included student feedback. With 131 nursing students benefiting, this initiative enhances the application of Nursing Practice Standards and infection control protocols in real-world clinical scenarios, boosting the quality of nursing care.
