Kumaraguru Institutions conferred the Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam award to Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President – MIT Group of Institutions recently.
Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru Institutions gave the welcome address and introduced the awardee Prof. Dr. D. Karad, and the Chief Guest Justice M. M. Sundresh, Supreme Court of India to the gathering.
Dr. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman, Kumaraguru Institutions gave the presidential address, which was followed by the conferment of the award to Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad by Dr. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar and Justice Sundresh.
Justice Sundresh in his address said Karad is a person of simplicity, empathy, and a future thinker so we have to celebrate him and get inspired by his ideas, also he stressed the importance of education which helps a person to gain knowledge with character and advised the students to spend the gained knowledge on others like Karad and Arutchelvar.
Karad spoke on the values of Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam and Swami Vivekananda and said that religion is the one that makes a person perform his duty.
