PSG Institute Inaugurated a Centre for Translational Research

PSG Institute of Advanced Studies (PSGIAS) jointly with Reprosci Biosciences Private Limited, Bangalore have launched a “Centre for Translational Research in Reproductive Health” to prioritize research in the area of Reproductive health.

 

The Centre was inaugurated by Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG Institutions in the presence of Dr. Kanchana, Deputy Director, PSGIAS, VijayaGopal, Chief Innovation Officer, Reprosci Biosciences Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, Dr.Selvakumar, Professor and Head, Dept of Biotechnology, PSGIAS, and faculty members of PSGIAS and PSG Institutions.

 

This center will specially focus on carrying out interdisciplinary research in sectors involving infertility, smart biomaterials, reproductive tract infections, biomolecules to improve endometrial receptivity and embryo implantation, endometriosis, women’s health improvement for enhanced clinical outcomes during assisted reproductive technology and assisted natural pregnancy, etc.

The center along with the industry will focus on translating the Centre’s research outcomes into useful products that can help to maintain reproductive health and solve problems faced by women during their active reproductive phase. The joint center also envisions supporting the medical fraternity through educational products that can augment learning capacity.
