Rotary Club of Coimbatore and SPCA organized ‘Water Bowl Project 2024’ on Tuesday at the District Collectorate to quench the thirst of stray dogs and birds. The project was launched by Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati.
This project is a joint initiative of Coimbatore SPCA, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity, Rotary Club of Coimbatore SmartCity, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Industrial City, and Young Indians of CII. The members will place 400 water bowls across the Coimbatore district, for the voiceless ones. Rtn. Aparna Sunku, VP, SPCA who inaugurated the project, said “This initiative will be more beneficial to the animals and birds in the hot summer, and next year we will be coming up with 600 water bowls if we get more financial support.”
Kranthi Kumar Pati, I.A.S and also the president of SPCA felt so happy about the initiative of SPCA and the Rotary Club, for caring towards stray animals.
