CEAT Cricket Rating Awards Celebrates 25th Edition of Supporting Cricket

CEAT Limited, a prominent tire manufacturer in India, celebrated the accomplishments of renowned cricketers from both international and domestic cricket with the CEAT Cricket Rating (CCR) awards 2023 in Mumbai. The CCR awards, now in its 25th edition, serve as a global platform to honor exceptional cricket performances across formats, including both men’s and women’s cricket, based on their performance ratings from June 2022 to May 2023.

The CCR has solidified its position as the premier standard for recognizing cricket achievements on both the global and domestic stages. Harsh Goenka, Chairman of RPG Group, praised cricketers for their dedication and exceptional talent, emphasizing the unifying power of cricket. India cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar, Chief Adjudicator of the CEAT Cricket Ratings, highlighted the awards’ role in inspiring future cricket talent.

Team India’s Shafali Verma expressed her gratitude for the platform that CEAT has provided to showcase women’s cricket. Matthew Hayden, a cricketing legend, underscored the awards’ ability to foster global cricket camaraderie and unity.

The event recognized outstanding performances in women’s cricket, with Deepti Sharma winning the ‘CEAT Women’s International Cricketer of the Year’ award and Shafali Verma being honored for her role as the U-19 Women’s World Cup Winning Captain. Jalaj Saxena was named the CEAT Domestic Cricketer of the Year, while Suryakumar Yadav received the title of the CEAT Best T20 Batsman and Bhuvneshwar Kumar was awarded the Best T20 Bowler of the Year. The evening also celebrated cricketing legends Madan Lal and Karsan Ghavri, who received the ‘CCR International Lifetime Achievement Award’.
