Dr. N.G.P.iTech organize 1-day National Seminar

Department of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. N. G. P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore organized a one-day National level Seminar on “Brain-Computer Interface – An Application of Electroencephalogram for Handedness on Sensorimotor Rhythm involving Motor Imagery for Rehabilitation using Functional Electrical Stimulation” sponsored by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Dr.Rajesh Shankar Iyer, Consultant Neurologist, KMCH, Coimbatore inaugurated and delivered a technical talk on the advancement of Brain-Computer Interface in neuroscience during the first session.

Dr. Fayaz Pathan Khan, Chief Technology Officer, Neurostellar, Chennai and Dr. E. Grace Mary Kanaga, Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, served as the resource people.

As many as 70 participants from various engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu benefitted from the event. Dr. S. U. Prabha, Principal, Dr. M. G. Sumithra, Head of the Department, Biomedical Engineering, R. Sundar, Assistant Professor and J. Jeslin Libisha, Assistant Professor were part of the event.
