On August 9, 2023, the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign was launched as a culmination of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The campaign pays tribute to the courageous individuals who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women organized an event in the NSS adopted village, Seeranaickenpalayam.
The program saw the participation of local leaders, police officials, and volunteers. Activities included tree plantation, distributing saplings to households, rallies to express patriotism, taking the “panch pran” pledge, and a tricolor flag rally. Around 200 NSS volunteers and villagers enthusiastically joined in this initiative.
