The Dept. of Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry (SS&AC), DNRM, TNAU, and the Indian Society of Scientific Glass Blowers (ISSG) jointly organized a workshop on “Glass to Metal Seals” and the 20th National Seminar on “The Role of Scientific Glass Blowing at Research Level-In Designing Agricultural Research level Glassware” at TNAU. With 91 participants, including 75 from ISSG and 21 from TNAU, the event featured a Glass Blowing competition on the theme of ‘Universal filter Pump.’
Technical sessions saw expert presentations from organizations like BARC, Mumbai, Orchid Pharma, Chennai, and others. Geethalakshmi, the Vice-Chancellor of TNAU, inaugurated the National Seminar and released the Souvenir.
The event witnessed the presence of Santhi, Professor & Head, Dept. of SS&AC, Sayyad Saffi, Scientist (Retd.), BARC Mumbai, Perumal, Sr.Scientist (Retd.), Orchid Pharma, Chennai, Madheswaran, Sr.Technical Officer (Retd.), Rubber Research Institute, Kotayam and Kunjithapatham, Secretary, ISSG.
The valedictory function, presided over by VenkatesaPalanichamy, Dean (Agri.), awarded cash prizes to competition winners and Lifetime Achievement awards to ISSG members.
