TNAU to Introduce Digital Platforms for Productivity Enhancement

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has signed an MoU with Jaihind Madukkarai Coconut Fed Farmers Producer Company Limited, Coimbatore to facilitate Postgraduate Students’ Training. Senthil, Dean of SPGS at TNAU, emphasized the importance of customized support for Farmers Producer Companies (FPOs) and empowering farmers technically, economically, and socially.

The long-term collaboration aims to conduct on-farm trials, test new cultures, provide market intelligence, and introduce digital platforms for productivity enhancement. Training, demonstrations, and technical backstopping are also part of the agreement. TamizhVendan, Registrar, TNAU, Coimbatore and Prabhu, Director, Jaihind Madukkarai Coconut Fed FPCL, Coimbatore signed the agreement and exchanged it in the presence of Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor of TNAU. This academic partnership aims to boost agricultural production, productivity, and income for farmer shareholders. Suresh Kumar, Director (CARDS), VenkatesaPalanichamy, Dean (Agriculture) and the other delegates from both the parties attended the signing ceremony.
