TVS Racing Launches TVS Apache Racing Experience – GP Championship in 20 Cities

TVS Racing, renowned for its rich racing heritage, has introduced the TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) GP Championship across 20 cities. This customer-focused championship aims to provide TVS Apache owners with an opportunity to experience racing in a thrilling yet safe environment and showcase the capabilities of their motorcycles.

The ARE GP Championship is an extension of the TVS Apache Racing Experience (ARE) initiative, which started in 2007. This platform enables TVS Apache riders to tap into the racing DNA of their motorcycles under the guidance of TVS Racing champion riders and instructors. In the first season of the championship, over 1,000 customers across 20 cities will have the chance to participate and learn the intricacies of track racing across three categories.

With over 40 years of racing heritage, TVS Racing has played a significant role in nurturing motorsports in India and abroad. Their “Track to Road” philosophy has contributed to the success of the TVS Apache series, which recently surpassed 5 million global sales, making it the fastest-growing premium motorcycle brand in its segment. TVS Racing has trained and provided opportunities to over 3,000 budding racers since 1994 under the TVS One Make Championship. The program currently includes four categories in India and expanded internationally in 2022 with the TVS Asia One Make Championship.

Vimal Sumbly, Head of Business – Premium, TVS Motor Company, expressed pride in offering a platform for enthusiasts to pursue their passion for racing. He emphasized the company’s commitment to promoting safe yet thrilling racing culture. The ARE – GP Championship aims to set new benchmarks by providing unique opportunities and an enhanced experience for TVS Apache customers.

The championship will be divided into three categories based on the TVS Apache models owned by participants. Full-day training, theory and practical track sessions will be conducted by experts from TVS Racing, including notable riders such as Aishwarya Pissay, FIM Baja Rally world cup winner, Jagan Kumar, 10-time national champion in India, Vorapong Malahuan, winner of the 2022 TVS Asian One Make Championship, and KY Ahamed. Each city will shortlist one winner per category for the final round to be held in January 2024.

Shortlisted participants for the final round will have the opportunity to race on TVS One Make Championship Race Spec motorcycles (TVS Apache RTR 200 & RR310 race spec machines). The championship winner will be awarded an all-expense-paid trip to watch MotoGP in Malaysia, a wild card entry to two rounds of the TVS OMC RR310, and exclusive PETRONAS TVS Racing merchandise.

TVS Apache owners can register for the championship on the TVS Motor Company website and find information about the championship’s schedule in their city or nearest track. Participation will take place on the customer’s own motorcycle, ensuring a holistic experience for the participants.
