TNAU and TNJFU Introduce Common Online Application for Undergraduate Programs

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) have introduced a common online application process for undergraduate programs starting from the 2023-24 academic year. This collaborative effort aims to streamline the admissions process and provide students with a convenient platform to apply to both universities.

TNAU will admit students for 14 undergraduate programs and 3 diploma programs, while TNJFU will admit students for 6 undergraduate programs and 3 B.Voc. programs. The introduction of the common online application system will simplify the admission process for aspiring students.

In addition, counseling sessions were held for eminent sports and differently-abled quota admissions. A total of 756 applications were received for the eminent sports quota, and 79 applications were received for the differently-abled quota. After certificate verifications, 287 applications were found eligible for the eminent sports quota, and 77 applications were deemed eligible for the differently-abled quota.

Offline counseling for these special reservations took place on 1st July 2023 at TNAU, Coimbatore. Seventy aspirants were invited for the eminent sports person quota, while all 77 eligible candidates were called for the differently-abled quota. The Vice Chancellor of TNAU, Geethalakshmi, presented admission letters to the students in the presence of officials from both universities.

A total of 23 seats were filled under the eminent sports quota, with TNAU and TNJFU allocating 20 and 3 seats, respectively. Sixty-four seats were filled under the differently-abled quota. This initiative aims to provide opportunities to talented sports individuals and differently-abled students to pursue their higher education dreams.
