International Women’s Day was celebrated at Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences and Research on Wednesday to recognize the contributions of women to society and to advocate gender equality.
Dr Alarmel Mangai, Additional Collector, DRDA Coimbatore District presided over the function. Dr Anbu N. Aravazhi, Dean, KFMSR honoured the chief guest on behalf of the institution.
Elocution and poster competitions were conducted for the medical students based on the theme-“DigitALL-Role of Technology in Women Empowerment and Safety”. The winners of the competition were felicitated by the honourable chief guest.
