Royal Care Hospital Inaugurated the Adult Vaccination Center in association with Pfizers recently. Recognizing the increased need of vaccination owing to rising respiratory infections like Pneumococcal disease, the Center of Excellence aims for a systematic approach to prevent health through vaccination for the elderly and patients with comorbidities.
This association aims to improve patient care and advocate for adult vaccination, ultimately establishing a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem within the hospital to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) through top of mind recall for clinicians and proactive decision-making for vaccination by patients
Dr. Madeswaran, Chairman said, “The establishment of the Centre of Excellence underscores our commitment to transformative healthcare & wellness, including advocating for adult vaccination. Following the Center of Excellence inauguration, a Scientific Summit was conducted with senior clinicians, Dr. Pattabhi Raman, Consultant in Interventional Pulmonology leading the discussion along with expert inputs during a panel discussion with Dr. Arjun Srinivasan, Consultant in Interventional Pulmonology, and Dr. A.S.Naveen, Consultant Infectious Diseases from Royal Care Hospital. The Summit explored topics such as the need for early vaccination in comorbid patients with emphasis on elderly cohort, and a panel discussion on prioritizing risk groups for pneumococcal vaccination.
Earlier, Dr.V.R.Pattabhi Raman, Dr.Arjun Srinivasan, and Dr.Mahadevan – the team of Inerventional Pulmonologists in the presence of Dr.K.Madeswaran – Chairman, Dr.B.Paranthaman Sethupathi – Medical Director, Dr. K.T.ManiSenthilKumar – Chief Operating Officer, Ms.Lalith Chitra – Manager, Chairman’s Office , Dr.A.S.Naveen -Consultant Infectious Diseases, Dr.Muthukumar – Consultant Anaesthesiologist, and Pfizer team inaugurated the Center of Excellence .
