GIRT conducts the Indian German Round Table Conference

GIRT conducts Joint-German Indian Round Table conference Coimbatore & Saxony Chapters, at Residency Towers, Coimbatore on Monday.

The event began with a welcome note, delivered by Dr. Chandrasekar, Chapter Head, GIRT Coimbatore Chapter & Corporate Director-Roots Group of Companies, the Special Address was delivered by Rajkumar, MD, Gedee Group.

In the special address, Rajkumar said, “I had visited Berlin to meet Dr. Andreas Waldraff, and came to know about the German Indian Round Table (GIRT) as a Not-For-Profit federation of Businessmen in Germany with strong ties in India. With a vision that Indo-German relations have to grow and considering the opportunities for the growth of Indo-German Business engagement, I founded the GIRT Chapter of Coimbatore in the year 2011.”

Talking at the Indo-German roundtable Oliver Kohn, MD, VDMA, Germany thanked  Dr.Chandrasekar and  Rajkumar for inviting the German delegation to India. He said “We are very interested in having discussions with all of you as a representative of Germany Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Association.

Kranthi Kumar, I.A.S., District Collector, Coimbatore said, “He welcomed the delegation and said it feels happy and proud about the rich and deep heritage that we share with the country of Germany. The Government of Tamil Nadu welcomes all of you to make use of the right environment in the state as well as Coimbatore for investments and starting new businesses.

Michaela Kuchler, The Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Chennai in her special address mentioned, “It is truly hearting that this relationship between, Coimbatore and Saxony is flourishing and this is also a strong reflection of the overall trending Indo-German relations especially when it comes to economic relations.
