Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS), a stand-alone B-School in Coimbatore, organized a Management Development Program (MDP) on “Professional Engagement for Business Success” for the employees of Roots Cast Pvt. Ltd. Coimbatore recently.
Dr. A. Valarmathi, Director – VIMS delivered the Welcome Address and gave the overview of the Management Development Program (MDP). Dr. N Sampath Kumar (GM – Training and Development), Roots Group of Industries and R. Sasi Kumar (HR Manager – Training and Development), Root Cast Pvt. Ltd. were present.
The MDP program started with ice ice-breaking session by breaking the barriers among the participants to interact comfortably with others. Faculty Members from Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) emphasized on how “Emotional Intelligence” helps to understand and manage emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, and empathize with others to overcome challenges and defuse conflict with the help of proactive management games, interactive video session and live examples etc.
Finally, participants gave positive feedback on the MDP and how it will be useful to improve their productivity in the workplace. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. S Umamaheshwari
