The Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Institute of Technology recently organized a marathon named ‘SIRAGU’ with the aim of supporting the education and essential needs of government school students in and around Coimbatore. The marathon took place on October 15, 2023. The route started at the college and followed Tidel Park, Vilangurichi Road, and Codissia Road. The event featured two categories: a 5 km run and a 10 km run, attracting a total of 800 participants. Cash prizes were awarded to the top 10 winners in each category, and gift vouchers were presented to the winners by our generous sponsors. They announced that Rs. 8 from each registration fee of Rs. 48 has been donated to government school students. They expressed their gratitude to the Coimbatore City Police Department, college management, and sponsors for their support.
