Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College’s Department of Commerce recently organized an Intra Departmental competition as part of Swachhata Pakhwada celebrations. The event focused on “Health & Hygiene” and “Curbing Single-Use Plastic.”
Two categories, short film presentations and poster presentations, were featured to raise awareness about cleanliness, hygiene, and reducing single-use plastic. The short films addressed menstrual hygiene and proper sanitary napkin disposal, emphasizing the connection between cleanliness and health.
The event encouraged attendees to minimize their plastic footprint by choosing plastic-free packaged foods and using reusable bags. It also highlighted plastic-free shopping options, such as stores with plastic-free aisles and refillable containers.
This initiative was a significant step toward promoting health, hygiene, and environmental responsibility within the college community, aligning with the Swachhata Pakhwada celebration’s objectives.
