The Department of Civil Engineering at Dr.N.G.P Institute of Technology held the inauguration of the “Civil Engineers Students Association” and celebrated Engineers Day on September 15, 2023. Sudhahar, Chairman of the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Coimbatore Centre, was the chief guest. Prabha, the Principal, felicitated the gathering, and Shanmugesh, Secretary of the Final year of Civil Engineering, welcomed the attendees.
The event featured the introduction of the association’s office bearers and the presentation of badges by the Chief Guest. Manoj, AP/Civil Engineering, discussed the association’s past activities and upcoming plans. Jayababu, Treasurer, Final year Civil Engineering, introduced the chief guest.
Sudhahar, the chief guest shared insights into the civil engineering profession, emphasizing employment opportunities and necessary skills for success.
Prizes were distributed to winners of Engineers Day celebration events and academic achievers by the Chief Guest and Principal. Sivaprashad, Joint Secretary of the Third Year Civil Engineering, proposed the vote of thanks.
