“Uyir”, a forum to envision the awareness among public on road safety and accident-free drive forum will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
The inauguration ceremony of “Uyir” foundation will be held on the 27th of October at CODISSIA E Hall. S.P.Velumani, Minister of Municipal Administration and Rural Development and Implementation of Special Programmes, M.R. Vijayabhaskar along with other ministers are also set to participate in the event.
“Uyir” been formed to create a self-driven effort among the public to strictly follow safety guidelines on road, vehicle and self. It includes all leading professionals, business people, and organizations of Coimbatore in its team.
The team includes Sanjay Jayavathanavelu of Lakshmi Machine works as its Chairman, Board of Trustees and Dr. S. Rajasekaran of Mana Ganga Medical Centre and Hospital Pvt. Ltd. as Managing Trustee. The Patrons are S. V. Balasubramaniam, Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd.; Dr. J. G. Shanmuganathan, Ganga Medical Centre & Hospitals Pvt. Ltd and D. R. Karthikeyan, Former Director-CBI.
“Protect and Save Life”, an MOU will be signed and exchanged with “Uyir” team and Government officials on the occasion in presence of T.N. Hariharan, District Collector, K. Vijayakarthikeyan, Corporation Commissioner, Sumith Sharan, Commissioner of Police.
