Rotary Club’s Project Threlakshaa Expands with New Center

The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Aakruthi’s Global Grand Women Empowerment project ‘Threlakshaa’ aims to uplift the economic well-being of single mothers and tribal women. They recently celebrated the successful inauguration of their 6th training center as part of the Global Grant project at Topslip, with support from Forest Department CCF Rtn Ramasubramaniam and DD Bhargava Teja. The Project’s total cost of 70 Lakhs was funded by Rtn AKS Leema Rose Martin and Rotary International.

 

Chairman of the project Rtn AKS Leema Rose Martin inaugurated and graced the occasion with her presence.

The event also witnessed the presence of Rtn Kavitha Gopalakrishnan, Vice Chairman of Project Threlakshaa, Forest Range officer Sundaravel, Rtn Asha Rao President, Rtn Kothai Balaji Secretary, and members of RCC Aakruthi.

 

Benefiting 100 tribal women, the project offers free training in tailoring and sewing machines, fostering self-reliance and skill development. With 235 women already empowered through existing centers, their commitment to women’s empowerment grows stronger. Together, they are shaping a brighter and more inclusive future for these women and their communities.
